Partners Russell Davis, Alex Vallings and Lyn Holland have extensive knowledge in a wide range of industries, specifically that of the marine sector.

Russell Davis
M.D ( Managing Director )
Russell learnt the CNC side of engineering in South Auckland after working in the dockyards. After three years working at a reputable South Auckland machine shop, he left to travel Europe and work in England where he picked up skills in the multi axis machine environment, manufacturing high precision aircraft components. Upon his return to New Zealand, he was employed by Styrotech CNC Limited, to program and run their 5 axis CNC router. There he developed several new methods for various companies to improve their product turnaround. After two years Russell was promoted to General Manager and stayed in this role for three years before leaving to start Absolute CNC with Lyn and Alex. Russell is a qualified fitter turner with a substantial toolmaking, shipyard, aeronautical and composite industry experience.
Lyn Holland
( Director )
Lyn studied Geography at Canterbury University, followed by post-graduate Diplomas in Secondary Teaching and Librarianship. In 1997, after working as a Research Librarian for some years, Lyn formed her own software development company focusing on the improvement of administrative systems within the SME sector. After 4 years, and as a natural progression, Lyn merged her own business with that of C-Tech. The result has been an improvement in the overall administration of C-Tech enabling management to recognise and effectively develop C-Tech’s client base. This experience and insight has been invaluable in ensuring effective communication and understanding between staff and clients of Absolute CNC.
Alex Vallings
( Director )
Both Alex and Russell are time-served fitter and turners trained by HMNZ Dockyard. After leaving the dockyard Alex worked as an engineer, gaining valuable experience in both large-scale and small-sized businesses. His interest in composites and passion for sailing eventually led to the formation of his own company, C-Tech Limited. C-Tech manufactures a range of strong, light-weight components for marine and industrial use. C-Tech compliments the work of Absolute CNC, providing support and experience in the marine sector.
